FAQ’S

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How do I book Martin Sloan Discotheques?
We try to make sure that you can contact us as easily as possible so to make a booking, you can call us on 01234 764643 or email martin@martinsloan.co.uk and we can check our availability.

How much notice do you need to book?
Here at Martin Sloan Discotheques, we can get booked up pretty far in advance, especially in the Summer, which is the busy period for most wedding DJs in Hertfordshire. So we recommend to book with us as soon as you know your event date. It is always worth giving us a call first though, as event cancellations do allow for last minute bookings.

What information will you need?
Due to the amount of equipment a DJ needs, we will need to know about the access to the venue. So is it on the ground floor or upper floor? If it is not on the ground floor, is there access to a lift or stairs only? This is so we can plan in advance and make sure that we are setup and ready to make sure your event gets off to a fantastic start.

How much time do you need to setup equipment?
We will require at least two hours to setup in the venue so we can liaise with you or the venue to make sure everything is timed perfectly. All banquet halls and function rooms will need to provide at least one double socket for power.

What information do you need to know about music and timings for the evening?
We will need to know details on any specifics songs you wish to have played, must be submitted a month in advance. This is because we like to prepare playlists to ensure the evening goes smoothly. We will also need to know about a first dance – so the song that you are going to have and the time you would like it to happen. If there is a specific time that the cake cutting is going to happen, I can be ready to stop or quieten the music. Also if you wish to thank guests, then this can be arranged.

When do I pay the remaining balance?
The remaining balance will need to be paid 30 days prior to your function.

Are you insured?
Martin Sloan has full public liability insurance (documents are available on request) and all equipment has been P.A.T. tested.
